Building a community is great, but why stop there? Why not take the extra step to also help communities and use that platform to spread awareness and make a difference? Those are just some of our goals at Mindly.Social!

As part of our focus to spread positivity and help build communities, we've started a Kiva.org Team to allow other users to join us in helping fund projects that make a real different in real people's lives. While charities are important do amazing work, projects funded by Kiva.org are given directly to people who will use the money to better their lives and their communities. The money is loaned out to users and upon repayment can be loaned out again to fun other projects creating a cycle of help and continued improvements compared to a one-time donation to a charity.

To help offset the CO2 output produced by the servers used by Mindly.Social we've calculated the average amount generated per month and the number was roughly 48.7kg of CO2 per month (about 3 trees worth of CO2). As a result of this, we've started a recurring donation to OneTreePlanted.org to have 15 trees planted every month to offset our current usage and eventually make up for past usage also. We will adjust this amount in the future as our output increases.
